Valkeisen Loma Terms & Conditions
Valkeisen Loma has the following conditions when booking and cancelling accommodation services. These terms will be binding on both parties once the customer has made the reservation. The booker must have full authority to make the booking.
Booking and payment
Bookings can be made by phone, email or through the online booking system. After booking, Valkeisen Loma will send the customer a written booking confirmation via email or via the online booking system. If the booker does not have an e-mail address, a booking confirmation can be sent by post if desired. Payment will be made on arrival, by invoice in advance or according to the payment terms of the other online booking system.
Cancellation and modification of a reservation
Cancellations must always be made by the booker, either by phone, email or if the booking is made through an online booking system other than Valkeisen Loma (http://valkeisenloma.sportum.info), the cancellation must also be made through that online booking system (Booking.com, Visit Ähtäri Central Booking Office). The cancellation shall be deemed to have taken place at the time when the cancellation is notified to Valkeisen Loma. If cancelled or modified up to 1 day before the date of arrival, no fee will be charged, and any money already paid will be refunded. If cancelled or modified later or in case of no-show, 100 percent of the first night will be charged. Reservations made through any other online booking system will be subject to their own terms and conditions of payment and cancellation.
Valkeisen Lomas right to cancel a booking
In case of force majeure, Valkeisen Loma can cancel the reservation. The customer is then entitled to a full refund of the amount paid by Valkeisen Loma.
The customers stay in the rooms and cottage accommodation
Breakfast is included in the rate during the summer season and during other seasons specifically stated. Breakfast is not included in the price of the accommodation during other seasons but can be obtained at an additional cost by pre-order. The final cleaning is included in the price of the accommodation, but during the stay the customer is responsible for the cleaning. Mattresses, blankets and pillows are included. Linen and bath towels are provided by the customer or can be rented at an additional cost from Valkeisen Loma. Bed linen and bath towels are included in the new rooms at Aurinkorinne, unless otherwise agreed.
Maximum occupancy is allowed (maximum number of official Beds in the accommodation). It is forbidden to use a tent or caravan on the site of the Valkeisen Loma without the owner’s permission and prior reservation. Pets must be agreed upon separately. Pets are not allowed in most rooms. Smoking is not allowed indoors.
Check-in time is between 4 PM – 9 PM, check-in times outside of this must be agreed in advance. The room will be vacated by 12 noon on the day of departure unless otherwise agreed.
Pets are only allowed in the rooms of the Main House, Grandma’s Cottage, Emilia’s Cottage, and the Chambers of Kaapo, Kaisa and Konsta. Pets are allowed for an additional fee, which is subject to the pricelist (EUR 10).
Compensation for damage
The customer is obliged to compensate for any damage to the property or the objects belonging to the property.
All complaints and remarks related to the resort must be addressed immediately upon their arrival. If the matter is still not resolved, the customer may submit a written complaint to Valkeisen Loma. This should be done within one month of the end of the booking. In the event of disagreement between the Customer and Valkeisen Loma, the Customer may refer the matter to the Consumer Complaints Board.
Applicable law and jurisdiction
The Contracting Parties shall endeavor to settle any disputes arising from this Agreement by mutual consultation. If the negotiations fail to reach an agreement, the disputes will be settled in the Regional Court of Southern Ostrobothnia in Seinäjoki. The contract shall be governed by Finnish law.
Right to change prices
Valkeisen Loma reserves the right to adjust its prices if the tax or public fees affecting the holiday service price change.
